Wedding Dates May Be Harder To Come By
While the industry is still adapting to accommodate every couple that is postponing their 2020 wedding to 2021, it will most likely be increasingly difficult to book your ideal wedding date. Consider having three to four dates available you would be open to, or even consider having a weekday wedding.

One important thing to consider is when and how the industry will re-open or allow larger gatherings. Of course, you and your family's health is of the upmost importance, so you may want to consider live streaming or eloping. Luckily, it's now easier than ever to have plenty of family and friends join you on a video call.
As an alternative, you can also see if vendors are willing to book 2022 as a vaccine will most likely be out by that time. Just be sure to review the contract and make sure you are able to postpone your wedding.

The most important thing to note here is to be creative. Think outside the box and be open to new ideas for planning your special day.

Book You Vendors Now, Because...
They may be offering promotions and specials during this time. The wedding and events industry, amongst plenty of others, has been hit hard and will need to adapt with either enticing offers or flexible packages, as everyone's wallets have gotten a little tighter.
While it's always a good idea to ask if they can offer you some savings or small discount if you pay up front, please don't expect it. The more seasoned professionals have worked very hard to get where they are, so please don't nickel and dime them.

Another reason to book your vendor now is because their 2021 calendar may be filled with their postponed 2020 weddings. Reach out to your top vendors and schedule video meetings after confirming your date is available. It's a great way to get to know them without having to meet in person.
